Mr. Iskander DZIRI’s professional trajectory has been distinguished by a succession of influential leadership roles, each contributing significantly to his wealth of knowledge and expertise in the shipping and maritime services sector.

Following an experience in the public transportation sector in the seventies, Mr. DZIRI was appointed to the shipping department at the SOTAPEX/COUVERTEX Group.

His work in the Tunisian-American company’s shipping department showcased his proactive engagement in the maritime industry, particularly within the realm of second-hand clothing trade. He participated in the containerization of this cargo and succeeded in creating a service linking the USA to Tunisia via a monthly feeder, leading him to head this service and expand his work to include surveyor experience.

Transitioning to the role of a surveyor in the 1980s, Mr. DZIRI collaborated with renowned container lines such as DELMAS and ITALIA di NAVIGAZIONE, as well as various Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCCs), enhancing his understanding of industry operations and logistics.

In 1990, Iskander DZIRI established African Shipping Agency, a milestone in his career aimed at providing comprehensive ship agency and chartering services to establish a robust presence for the historical trade between the USA and Tunisia.

As a partner of UNITED TUNISIAN LINES, Mr. DZIRI pioneered significant business ventures, including the establishment of dedicated shipping routes, such as the transportation of 1000 TEUs annually from the USA to Tunisia, contributing to the development of value-added systems within the region.

Establishment of Pangea Shipping Group: Building upon his successes, Mr. DZIRI spearheaded the establishment of Pangea Shipping Group, consolidating various maritime transport and logistics agencies under one umbrella, thereby solidifying his position as a leader in the Tunisian maritime sector.
